X-Stream

The X-Stream line is broader than a single nozzle choice. Manual, hydraulic, electric, hazardous-location, and gas-mitigation versions all sit inside the same family. This page breaks them into a specification view that is easier to work with during apparatus design, industrial projects, and retrofit planning.

About X-Stream

Manual bodies

SM-1250B and SM-2000B use large handles for manual pattern adjustment and stay focused on traditional apparatus monitor setups.

Hydraulic actuation

SM-1250HB and SM-2000HB move pattern control to a hydraulic actuator while keeping the same primary flow bands.

Electric and hazardous

The BE-HL models support electronic pattern control, with hazardous-location approvals available for industrial work.

Gas mitigation

Gas-mitigation variants use a wide fog pattern package where vapor suppression, not reach alone, drives the selection.

Where each subgroup fits

  • Manual models make sense when operators want direct local control and a simpler apparatus plumbing package.
  • Hydraulic variants help when pattern control has to move back to a remote operator position without changing the basic flow band.
  • Electronic hazardous-location models are aimed at industrial work where monitor/nozzle control and area classification both matter.
  • Gas-mitigation variants are for vapor control packages that need broad fog performance rather than straight-stream emphasis.

Selection Notes

  • The primary split in this family is the flow band: 350-1250 gpm or 500-2000 gpm.
  • The second split is control method: manual handles, hydraulic actuator, or electric motor.
  • The third split is environment: standard apparatus use, hazardous location, or gas mitigation.
  • That structure is why X-Stream usually needs a full package discussion instead of a one-line model callout.
